Why is this important? Have you ever been to a groomer, your dog is matted/knotty and the groomer scolds you, belittles you and just makes you feel down right terrible and like you are the worst parent in the world? You won't get that with Pawfect Friends Aus We understand life happens, and sometimes the last thing on your mind is brushing your dog. -- Take a breath -- its ok! We will worth with you to get your furrbaby back to the beautiful little Teddy Bear they once were. Pain Free zone What do we mean? We will never do anything that will cause pain to your furrbaby. This includes dematting: when it comes to dematting, (depending on the matts) we may try to brush them out, but if at any stage your dog becomes distressed and appears to be in pain we will refuse to continue. We may refuse dematting altogether on an individual dog if we know it will cause too much pain in the first place. Other examples are grooming old dogs: some old dogs already have sore legs and joint pain, therefor a particular style the owner may want will not able to be achieved without placing the dog under a lot of stress and pain (by standing for a lengthy time). Therefor we will discuss the appropriate grooming lengths recommended to prevent your furrbaby from being in any further pain. Stress Free zone Why is this important? Animals can become stressed very easily, and unfortunately unlike us humans who understand when we are stressed and can stop, take a breathe, take time out, your animals don't have the ability to do this. Therefor we need to be the keeper of their mind and their body when they are in our care. Stress can be fatal: This is why we ensure a stress free zone, and will never continue grooming an animal if they appear under stress. An animal can go from Early stages of shock, to Late stages within minutes if not seconds. In Early stages your animal recovers easily, where as Late stages death is imminent. Just like a bird (we all are aware how birds can die from shock very easily), a Dog & Cat can certainly die from shock. It's generally not as quickly as a bird, but is certainly a real threat in a short time frame when a Dog or Cat is under stress. This is why we take stress very seriously. Stress is the most underrated condition in the Dog & Cat world. |
